Woezo Africa Cultural Festival (WACF)

Woezo Africa Music & Dance Theatre Inc. continues to use the combined power of arts and education to hold events that promote compassion and understanding from and for the diverse communities with whom we serve. Register Now for the most anticipated African festival in Western Canada happening on Friday August 20 & Saturday August 21, 2021.

Cultural Exchange Through Artistry
The Woezo Africa Cultural Festival (WACF) aims to share and educate the community at large on the level of artistry and innovation that exists within African culture and the African Diasporic history through a series of interactive activities, artisan demonstrations, cultural performances and workshops that will be delivered virtually. During this festival, you can expect traditional African drum and dance performances, stimulating arts and crafts workshops, moving vocal performances, visual arts, spoken word, online networking mixer and a film festival screening, all live-streamed in the comfort of your home! Enhancing our ability to share dynamic physical expression into digital storytelling will allow us to continue to collaborate across multiple artistic mediums. All youth and adult workshops and events will be open for free to the public and we will be accepting optional Pay-What-You-May contributions (recommended amount is $10 per event) for admission via live streaming and live audience performances. Register to attend the Day 1 and 2 of the Woezo Africa Cultural Festival by clicking on the link.
